A new era

____________

The era of the traditional artist is over. We believe in someone else: the independent visual artist. A creator, dreamer, and visionary who society has not yet fully appreciated.

New York, 1997. Artmoney founder Lars Christian Kræmmer showing artmoney to the world.

The traditional art world tends to focus on the the way things have always been done.

It overlooks the silent majority of visual artists who seek the freedom to express themselves. Without conforming to conventional expectations.

These artists are not only striving to create incredibly works. They are also forging new paths in the world of art. For themselves and others.

What if:

  • -

Independent visual artists would get the attention and recognition they deserve?

  • -

Independent visual artists came together to form a movement?

  • -

Compromising wasn't necessary to achieve success?

In the words of Catrine Holte, Artist & Director of Artmoney:

As an artist, I never felt understood by the traditional art world. I was told to be less enthusiastic, less ambitious and less curious.

On the brink of quitting, I realized what had escaped me until then: there was an entirely different path — the path of the independent visual artist.

An artist who wants to be in control and makes no apologies about it. A path where the artist calls the shots in their own career.

This realization inspired me to take charge of Artmoney. Now, I am deeply committed to creating context for those artists who, like me, want to succeed on their own terms. While maintaining control over their artistic journey:

All rise for the future of:

The Independent Visual Artist
